Adaptogens are non-toxic plants that are marketed as helping the body resist stressors of many kinds, whether physical, chemical or biological.  These herbs and roots have been used for centuries in Chinese and Ayurvedic healing traditions and are having a renaissance today.  Some, such as holy basil can be eaten as part of a meal and others are consumed as supplements or brewed into teas.

    Getting Started with Adaptogens

We stock around 25 different adaptogens and blends to combat stress, fatigue and anxiety as well as helping with relaxation, hormonal balance and improving cognitive function.

A really good couple of choices to start using adaptogens would be Rhodiola Rosea for low mood and needing a lift or Ashwaghanda for its calming properties, often used to help with anxiety.
